Hotel Ambassador Overview
Located close to the world-famous Las Ramblas in the centre of Barcelona, the four-star Hotel Ambassador is a classic city centre hotel, providing excellent levels of service, fine decor, great facilities and easy access to much of the city's best-loved museums, art galleries and commercial centres.
Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, the Hotel Ambassador had some rather celebrated first guests - the US bastketball 'Dream Team', complete with Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and 'Magic' Johnson to name just a few, used the hotel as their base during the tournament, and since then the Hotel Ambassador has been 'courting' all manner of guests, famous or otherwise.
Its 105 guestrooms display an effortless style and sophistication, with plenty of space and top-level cleanliness the order of the day. Completely modernised, all rooms come fitted with en suite with shower and hairdryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, piped music, safety deposit box, mini bar and air conditioning. Nine of the rooms can be classed as suites, of which five boast a private Jacuzzi, while four of the guestrooms have been specially-adapted for disabled guests.
Additional facilities at the Hotel Ambassador include an outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace, restaurant 'Carmen', an inviting lounge bar, a sports and wellness centre complete with gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi, and 24-hour reception for your convenience.
